Everything your server needs between drops
Uplink handles the chores that pull you out of the game: starting the server, holding a stop until the world is saved, recovering from crashes and keeping backups close.
Safer restarts
Icarus has no save command, so Uplink holds a stop until the game's own autosave has landed. Schedule restart nights, or start one by hand when the crew is ready.
Crash recovery
If the server falls over, Uplink brings it back and says whether it will keep trying. It watches memory and free disk space so trouble is easier to catch early.
Shared crew access
Give trusted friends the right level of access: full admin control, day-to-day operator tools, or read-only viewing.
Live server view
Status, uptime, memory, who is online and what the log is saying — from the browser. Alerts reach Discord, a webhook or email when something needs you.
Updates and backups
Run SteamCMD updates when you want them, keep backups on a schedule, and restore from the dashboard when a prospect goes sideways.
Worlds and prospects
See every saved world with its map, difficulty and hardcore flag, switch between them, and create a new one from the 95 prospects by their in-game names.
Players and bans
Who is on now, who your regulars are, and a ban list written straight into Icarus's own — including the bans your admins make in-game.

The portal
One page for the state of the server: what it is doing, who is on it, and what it has been doing while you were away. It works on a phone as well as a desktop, and can be added to your home screen as an app.
Get started in three steps
- Download and run — take the Windows build for normal use. A Linux build exists because Uplink is written in Go, but it is unofficial and unsupported.
- Open the dashboard at
http://localhost:18000, set the admin password, and point Uplink at your server folder — or let it install the dedicated server for you. - Turn on what you want — crash recovery, scheduled restarts, Steam updates, backups and alerts. Then go and play.
